Max Payne 3 Hardest Difficulty

  1. Max Payne 3 Hardest Difficulty Lyrics

Re: Max Payne in under an hour! (hardest difficulty)You keep improving your time. I'm impressed.Out of curiosity, when you hit those spots where you kinda mess up a little - you know, you miss a shot, somebody doesn't go down when you hope they would, you need to take an extra second or two to deal with it - does that frustrate you? I know it doesn't happen too often, clearly you know every one of these encounters inside out by now, but every once in a while you can see it happen. How do you handle that?

I think I would just lose my focus well before I got anywhere near the end. I don't think I could maintain, I'd start obsessing over it and then screw it up. Hardest

This is the hardest difficulty in Max Payne 3, you have minimal health and Bullet Time effect. A fully charged Bullet Time can run out within few seconds, so try your best to avoid using it all in.

I don't think I could maintain, I'd start obsessing over it and then screw it up.Obviously the game does frustrate me from time to time, but actually most of the time if I mess up it's my fault. The main thing that frustrates me is if something totally unfair happens, like a bullet doesn't go where I'm aiming. You get used to a certain standard of play and that always includes some mistakes, I mean it can never go perfectly. The truth is if you're playing flawlessly and hitting every super jump, that's when you get really nervous; if you make a few mistakes it eases the tension somewhat.

The more you play it the better you get and then the smaller the mistakes are. By that point my head is literally filled with all the things I have to watch out for at every point in the game. The p1c8 super jump through the trap door is the crux move of the run, less than 30% of runs made it past there, so I had to practise the crap out of the later stages to make sure I had a good chance of finishing it. Of course, every time I made it past there I got really nervous, but I learned to control it by enjoying the fact I had got so far and only letting my mind wander ahead in the cutscenes.

I had to make sure when I was actually playing that I focused on what was happening, otherwise when something goes wrong you'll die real fast. By the way, how do you roll forward/sideways like that? I've beaten the game more than I can count and I still haven't figured it out.Same goes for that crazy spin in Max Payne 2, I dunno how to do that.Roll sideways by holding left or right and pressing jump, I don't roll forwards at any point; you can only do that at very rare points in the game by running forwards and pressing shift - you can do that in one of the prologues in mp2.Crazy spin in mp2 is automatic when you run out of ammo in slow-mo, he'll reload and do the spin. The p1c8 super jump through the trap door is the crux move of the run, less than 30% of runs made it past there, so I had to practise the crap out of the later stages to make sure I had a good chance of finishing it.Yeah, that's a hell of a move!

In general, I enjoy how you break the game. =) It's interesting how that's made possible by how simple Max Payne is by modern standards.

If you were to try to do a similar thing with Alan Wake, I think you'd probably hit a point where you couldn't progress really quickly - there are certain triggers that you need to hit, and if you skip them, things just don't get loaded - and that includes other triggers that you need in order to progress, so you just kind of hit a wall. There's something very interesting about somebody learning the game as completely as you obviously have done. It becomes an entirely different experience and challenge, something that has far less to do with game design than with your own ability to remember and understand every situation the game throws at you. My record at new york minute is 45 minutes and something.

Im sure I can do better since I really didnt abuse the ingrams.I believe I took a little above an hour on DoA, but I killed every enemy I encountered. And I used saves.Congrats on the record. 45 minutes in NYM is over 1.5 hours in real time, so not sure what you mean by just over an hour in DoA. If you kill everyone you're looking at almost 2 hours for a casual playthrough probably. That's if you have strats and know exactly what you're doing, don't die much and don't watch comic strips. Now that I've done this I may have a go just messing around without the worry of having to do everything without mistakesAlso I got a mixture of things; T-shirt, note pad etc. It's a really nice accolade for the run. 45 minutes in NYM is over 1.5 hours in real time, so not sure what you mean by just over an hour in DoA.
